Dozens die in New Year's nightclub fire in Bangkok (2 January 2009)

Based on the Yahoo.com news today (2 January 2009): "Dozens die in New Year's nightclub fire in Bangkok" (Adopted from Yahoo.com news http://sg.news.yahoo.com/ap/20090102/tap-as-thailand-nightclub-fire-5th-ld-wr-7934085.html)

This is another sad news from Thailand. What a tragedy? We are hoping for a better year in 2009 after all the protesting and demonstration going on throughout 2008, however the year start with dozens of dead at the classy nightclub "Santika" in Bangkok during the countdown toward New Year. Foreigners from Australia, Belgium, Britain, France, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and United States and locals are among the dead.

Based on the news, people are suspecting got celebrants told fireworks into the club and enlighten it during the second before New Year. This really an act of outrage and irresponsible that neglect other people’s safety. People really need to think twice before doing something especially it involves people safety.

Some causalities and dead are those being stomping by others when rushing out the front door. Based on the news, there is no indication of other "Exit" points, which are responsible from the club owner where Exit being provided in case of such emergency happened. We unable to blame those people that stomp on others because in this case, everyone is rushing to safety and save their own life. The owner should take full responsibility for not providing proper "Exit" points.
